Alu-pack processes your personal data because you make use of our services and/or because you provide them to us yourself. Below you can find a summary of the personal data we process:

How and why do we save your personal data?

Your personal data will be saved with your permission to create a personal profile. This profile is used to process future orders quickly and to show you interesting offers and relevant products. You can access and change your personal details 24/7 by logging in with your username and password or by contacting support@alu-pack.com. You need to ensure us that the personal information we store about you is correct and up to date. If you are not able to change the personal data yourself, we could do this for you. If you want Alu-pack to remove all of your personal data, we will take care of this to the extent that is permitted by law. However, we may need to retain some information in order to comply with our legal obligations, for example, invoice information.

 

Special and/or sensitive personal data we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data on website visitors who are younger than 16. Unless they have permission of their parents or a custodian. We cannot check, however, whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, to prevent data being collected from children without parental permission. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data on a minor without such permission, please contact us through support@alu-pack.com, and we will remove that information.

  • Alu-pack analyses your behaviour on the website to thereby improve their website and to align the offer of products and services with your preferences.
  • Alu-pack also processes personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as for information we need for our tax returns and other government services such as IGZ (Netherlands) and FAGG (Belgium).

 

Computerised decisionmaking

 Alu-pack does not make decisions based on computerised processing which may have (considerable) impact on people. This in the event of decisions which are made by computer software or systems, without people (for instance a collaborator of Alu-pack) intervening in the procedure.

 

How long we keep personal data

Alu-pack does not keep your personal data for any longer than is strictly necessary to realize the goals for which your data is collected. We apply the following retention terms for the (categories of) personal data listed below:

Session cookies

Session cookies are used by the server to store information about user activities. Anonymized data about the current session is stored in encrypted format in the session cookie and does not contain personal information in the non-encrypted form.

The session cookie is stored in the temporary memory and is removed when the user closes the browser.

Authenticationcookies

Authentication cookies are heavily protected and contain information to identify the visitor when logging in on the shop account:

  • ASPXAUTH_SS for non-secure (HTTP) pages
  • ASPXAUTH_SS_s for secure (HTTPS) pages

The expiry date of the authentication cookie depends on whether the user has ticked off the “remember me” function when logging in at the web store.
If this option is not selected, the authentication cookie is removed at the moment the browser is closed down.
If “remember me” is selected, the expiry date for the authentication cookie is set at 30 days.

Anti-forgery cookies

Anti-forgery cookies are used to prevent CSRF attacks. This guarantees that the user effectively is the person who has initially requested a certain form. It prevents someone from creating a link and taking over an authorized user’s account.

Anti-forgery cookies are removed when an user closes the web browser.

Shopping basket cookies

Shopping basket cookies contain encrypted, anonymized identification methods for the shopping basket of the visitor and does not contain personal information in a non-encrypted form.

Basket cookies are stored for 3 days.

Last viewed product cookies

This cookie is used to store information about the last viewed products which are shown at the bottom of the product and product list pages.

Last viewed product cookies are removed when a user closes his web browser.

Sharing personal data with third parties

In order to optimally live up to our promises, the delivery of the orders and other activities, we engage with several parties. Insofar as these parties process your data on behalf of Alu-pack, they do so as processors. All agreements concerning security, confidentiality and your rights are included in the processing agreements that we have concluded with these third parties. We cooperate with parties who help us with the following services:

  1. Logistical and operational purposes: think of mail processors, parcel deliverers and parties who help us to send emails.
  2. Marketing services: to personalize our shop and to display relevant offers and advertisements on our website and the websites/apps of third parties. We use software for this, such as Google Adwords and Facebook Advertising.
  3. Analysis services: to analyze data about your visit to and use of our shop. We use software for this, such as Google Analytics.
  4. IT services for the maintenance and management of our systems and the storage of data.
  5. Service partners: parties who repair articles
  6. Payment providers: parties that process the payments, such as iDeal and credit card payments.
  7. Cooperating with, tax authorities, and law enforcement agencies, such as police and prosecutors. We only provide information to these parties if we are required to do so by law.

Alu-pack does not sell your data to third parties and solely provides it in case it is necessary for the implementation of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies which process your data on our order, we conclude a processor agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality for your data. Alu-pack remains responsible for those instances of processing.

 

Cookies or comparable techniques we use

Alu-pack uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is stored on the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone upon the first visit to this website. Alu-pack uses cookies with a purely technical functionality. They ensure that the website functions properly and that things like your preferred settings are memorized. These cookies are also used to let the website function properly and to enable its optimization. In addition, we place cookies which keep track of your surfing behavior, so we can offer customized content and advertising. We have informed you of these cookies upon your first visit to our website, and we asked for your permission to place them. You can deregister for cookies by changing the settings on your web browser in such a way that it no longer stores any cookies. You can send a request for perusal, correction, removal or the transfer of your personal data, as well as requests for withdrawal of your permission or objections to the processing of your personal data to support@Alu-pack.nl. To make sure that the request for perusal was made by you, we ask you to attach a copy of your ID to your request. On this copy, paint your picture, the MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and social security number (or ‘BSN’) black. This to protect your privacy. We will respond as fast as possible, but in any case, within four weeks, to your request. 2.How we secure personal data

Alu-pack takes the protection of your data quite seriously and takes suitable measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and illegitimate modifications. What rights do you have with regard to your data?

 

1.Right to information

You are entitled to a transparent and comprehensible explanation about our handling of your personal data and what rights you can exercise. That is why we have explained how we deal with your data.

2.Right to perusal

You have the right to access your personal data at any time, which we have at our disposal. You can request this by contacting us. We will process your request within 30 days.

3.Right to rectification

Of course, you have the right to have your personal data modified if it’s incorrect or outdated and/or to have them supplemented if they are incomplete. You can always do this via your account, or if you contact us we will arrange it for you.

4.Right to object

You have the right to object to data processing if you do not agree with the way in which we process your personal data. This right applies to the data we use for direct marketing. For example, you can ask us to stop using your data for personalized recommendations on the website. You can do this by contacting us. In addition, this right also applies to other data that we use from you based on our justified interest. For example, you can choose that we don’t collect and use the data of your browse and search behavior. You can also preventively install an add-on or change your browser settings so we won’t get access to your internet behavior.

 5.Right to data portability

You have the right to receive your data, which you provided to us in the context of the order, in a machine-readable format. You can find and download/print this data in your account. Of course you can also ask us and we will provide you with the information within 30 working days.

6.Right to limitation

You have the right to request restriction of the processing of your data. This means that we may keep your data (for example for warranty purposes), but may not use it. This right applies in a number of cases. If you believe that this is the case, please contact us.

7.Right to be obscure. /the request to remove your account

You have the right to ask us to delete any information we possess from you. We will, of course, retain any information that we are required to retain in relation with the law. It’s possible to remove your account and other data on request. If necessary, please contact our customer service.

8.Right to make a complaint
